Industrial Metaverse

The ETH Global Lecture Series offers a platform for contemporary global topics to be discussed with outstanding global thinkers. We bring amazing people together to discuss their personal insights, experiences and expertise. In addition to simply learning, our goals are to broaden our perspectives of a contemporary issue so we can all broaden our thinking, challenge our opinions and through this, make a meaningful contribution to issues we are working on.

An Industrial Metaverse is evolving as an innovative convergence fueled by the deep digital transformation of the sector as it recognizes and realizes new opportunities which the transformation is revealing. What is it? Where did it come from? What can it do? What will it be able to do? There are clear use cases which demonstrate increased optimization of processes, acceleration of product development, enhanced productivity which are enabling more circularity and making business operations more resource-efficient and sustainable. Artificial intelligence is emerging as a key enabling technology of the Industrial Metaverse. How is it being integrated? What difference is generative AI making? What do we imagine, or hope, it will do? And, finally, what are the barriers which need to be overcome in order to fully leverage the Industrial Metaverse?

Join us for what promises to be a fascinating dialogue.
