Information events

Pioneering teaching and research and the process of putting knowledge and technology into practice require the right infrastructure. This infrastructure is being continually enhanced at ETH Zurich through site development, construction and renovation projects, among other things.

Regular information events are held to keep interested ETH members and local residents informed about structural developments at ETH Zurich first-hand.

For ETH members

On 31 August, the Vice President for Infrastructure, Ulrich Weidmann, together with Daniel Bucheli, Head of the Real Estate Department and other experts, provided information on the structural development of ETH Zurich in the form of a virtual town hall. The recording of the event as well as more on the focus topics presented can be found in the corresponding internal news article.

Information event regarding structural developments at the Hönggerberg campus
Since 2015, ETH Zurich has been working with the city and canton of Zurich and with external experts on updating the planning principles for the Hönggerberg campus. The approval of the special building regulations and the building and zone regulations by the communal council in 2020 represented an important milestone for the development of the Hönggerberg campus. On this occasion, Ulrich Weidmann, Vice President for Infrastructure, and Daniel Bucheli, Director of the Real Estate Department, together with various experts, provided information on 31 August and 2 September 2021 in the form of a presentation and three topic-specific stations on the campus about the status of site planning, previous experiences in the planning process, current and upcoming construction projects, and mobility and sustainability topics.

Further information on dialogue and exchange forums can be found here.
