"didactica" programme: Details

Courses

“didactica” courses last from half a day to two days. While all courses provide information, they also encourage its active acquisition and direct implementation. They therefore focus on critical and discursive reflection, and on ways to apply the knowledge gained in participants’ own teaching.

Costs

“didactica” courses are free of charge for staff and teaching faculty at ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich. If a course is not fully booked, members of other accredited Swiss higher education institutions can attend for a fee.

Registration and cancellation

Registrations are processed according to date of receipt. You will receive a confirmation by email upon receipt of your application. For more information about the conditions of participation see the websites of the University of Zurich or ETH Zurich.

With their registration participants agree to attend the entire course. Cancellations after the deadline, unjustified no-shows or incomplete participation can result in consequences regarding participation in other didactica courses. For detailed information on the attendance policy see the websites of the University of Zurich or ETH Zurich.

Disclaimer

We reserve the right to cancel courses with insufficient participant numbers, or to hold them in a different form.

Confirmation of attendance

We provide confirmations of attendance of our courses. Unless otherwise specified, participants cannot obtain ECTS credits for our courses. Where credits are possible, special conditions apply. For further information please see the “didactica” websites of the University of Zurich or ETH Zurich.

ECTS credits

Participants can obtain one ECTS credit in a few specified courses. To do so they must be present during the entire course, participate actively and complete the required assessment task. If all of these conditions are met, the credit will be mentioned on the certificate of participation. Approval and awarding of the credit, however, proceeds only via the respective institute, department, or (for doctoral students) the supervising professor or responsible authority. didactica course participants should request the relevant information from these persons or offices.
