Internship Opportunity at the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) in Bangkok:
The United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction external page (UNDRR) is the designated focal point in the United Nations system for the coordination of efforts to reduce disasters and to ensure synergies among the disaster reduction activities of the United Nations and regional organizations and activities in both developed and less developed countries.
The internship is for a duration of up to 6 months and is based in the UNDRR Office in Bangkok. The internship is unpaid and full-time. Interns work five days per week (40 hours) under the direct supervision of the Head, Information Design & Technology Solutions (IDTS) unit, within the Communication, Advocacy, Knowledge Management and ICT Section of UNDRR.

- Workplace: on-site (Bangkok) or remote
- Expected duration: 6 months (full-time). While the internship itself is unpaid, ETH Zurich provides a financial contribution (of CHF 2,000 per month) from a dedicated support fund to assist ETH students undertaking internships at the United Nations.
- Start date: Time mutually agreed upon
- Qualifications required:
- Bachelor’s and Master’s students at ETH Zurich
- Interested candidates must be pursuing or have pursued their degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning or a related field
- Working language: English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this consultancy, fluency in English is required.
