Social and economic impact of a project, technological consequences
For projects with a foreseeable and relevant social or economic impact, consideration must be given to social accountability and technology assessment. Cooperation with third parties must be in accordance with the principles of the Code of Conduct for Scientific Cooperation of ETH Zurich. If in doubt, please contact the Ethics Committee of ETH Zurich.
Conflict of interest
If the budget officer or any other person at ETH Zurich who benefits from a contract has a conflict of interest vis-à-vis the contracting partner, this must be reported in writing to the Vice President of Knowledge Transfer and Corporate Relations and the person at ETH transfer or EU GrantsAccess responsible for the case in advance of signing a contract. Conflicts of interest include, for example, a close personal relationship with the contractual partner, an advisory or board function with the contractual partner or an associated partner company, such as a board of directors mandate, a private advisory mandate or the ownership of company shares.
In the event of a possible conflict of interest, the signature of the Vice President of Knowledge Transfer and Corporate Relations on the contract is required in addition to the signature of the budget officer.
