Required application documents
In addition to the supporting general documents, many Master's degree programmes ask for additional programme-specific application documents. Please make sure to thoroughly check what documents you need to submit in your online application.
Important
If, in the opinion of the Admissions Office or any Admissions Committee, your provided documents are not true, accurate, current and complete, ETH Zurich retains the right to reject your application.
Please note that we reserve the right to verify your uploaded documents with your institution directly or that hard-copy original transcripts and degree certificates of your academic qualification may be requested at any time in order to verify the authenticity of your documents provided in the application.
In case of admission, you will have to submit your graduation documents for the enrolment. Discrepancies between the graduation documents and the ones uploaded in the application may result in a rejection or withdrawal of our admission offer.
Translations
If your documents are in any language other than German, French, Italian or English you must upload, in addition to the official documents in their original language (e.g. Chinese, Spanish, Greek), an English translation.
We only accept translations supplied by the university which issued the corresponding document, or translations made by an authorised professional translator. Translations never replace the original documents. You must always submit both the translation and the original document.
Please note that we prefer official translations which are issued directly by the university/institution, particularly for your transcript of records.
