Marco Mazzotti receives CCS Award
Marco Mazzotti, Professor of Process Engineering at the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering (D-MAVT), receives the 2021 SINTEF and NTNU CCS Award for his research on carbon dioxide capture and storage systems.
Honorary doctorate for Kay Axhausen
Kay Axhausen, Professor of Transport Planning at the Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering, received an honorary doctorate from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). He was honored during the university’s annual Commemoration Day.
Three D-MTEC researchers receive AOM Award for Responsible Research in Management
Dr Burcu Kucukkeles, Dr Shiko Ben-Menahem and Professor Georg von Krogh, all of D-MTEC, have been selected as Distinguished Winners of the 2021 AOM Award for Responsible Research in Management. The award is co-sponsored by the Fellows of the Academy of Management (AOM) and the Community for Responsible Research in Business and Management. The three researchers were honoured for their work examining the repurposing of existing drugs to treat rare diseases.
Young Researcher Award for Daniel J. Reck
The International Transport Forum (ITF) has honored Daniel Jan Reck with the "Young Researcher of the Year Award" 2021. The scientist from the Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering receives the award for his pioneering study on shared micromobility services using the city of Zurich as case study.
Markus Gross receives 2021 Steven Anson Coons Award
D-INFK Prof. Markus Gross is presented with the ACM SIGGRAPH 2021 Steven Anson Coons Award for outstanding creative contributions to computer graphics. He is being recognised for his contributions in geometry processing, physically-based simulation, and face capturing and animation, as well as his contributions in bridging industry and academia in computer graphics.
