My husband (83) and I (78) were part of the 60% of seniors who continued to shop for ourselves. Why? We don't consider ourselves elderly and did not want to ask for help. Plus I like to choose my own meat and vegetables and not depend on someone else to do that. We took every precaution especially in terms of continually disinfecting supermarket baskets and carts, our hands before and after shopping and frequent hand washing. We wear masks when we are asked to do so.
