The Leading House Asia offers a scholarship programme encouraging Switzerland-based bachelor or master students to gain work experience in Asia. The aim of the programme is to broaden students' horizon, open their minds towards other cultures and ways of doing business, and prepare them to working in an international environment.
ETH Zurich as the Leading House for the Swiss Bilateral Science and Technology Programme with Asia offers internships in South Korea in cooperation with the external pageScience and Technology Office (STO) at the Embassy of Switzerland in Seoul. The programme supports the internships with small scholarships to cover travel and living allowance depending on the position (see job descriptions).
Eligibility
Bachelor or Masters' students from Swiss universities or universities of applied sciences; or recent graduates (no longer than 12 months since graduation at the time of application). Applicants must be fully vaccinated (3x) and eligible for the visa waiver programme of the Korean government to apply for an internship position in South Korea. As of 1 April 2022, South Korea has lifted all quarantine restrictions for fully vaccinated incoming travelers. The Switzerland-based prospective applicant must apply to ETH Zurich as the Leading House Asia. The submission of the application takes place in two compulsory steps:
1. Submission of your application details via the application form online.
2. Upload of your requested appendices (motivation letter, CV, and proof of registration or recent graduation (not older than 12 months)) in one single pdf document via the application form online.
Applications that do not follow the compulsory two steps, and/nor respect the one single pdf document guideline will be automatically dismissed. Applicants interested in several positions have to apply to each internship position of interest separately following the 2-step application process.
Applications will undergo a first eligibility check by the Leading House Asia and selected candidates will be invited for interviews with the respective host companies.
