Georg von Krogh named Fellow of the European Academy of Management
Professor Georg von Krogh (D-MTEC) has been named a Fellow of the European Academy of Management (EURAM). He received this prestigious honour in recognition of his contribution to management research and education in Europe, and as a sign of appreciation for his contributions to the EURAM community.
Since 2012, EURAM has awarded the distinguished status of “EURAM Fellow” to outstanding scholars who have an excellent reputation in the research community, have made extraordinary contributions to EURAM, and are thought likely to be leaders of the EURAM community in the future.
EURAM’s Past President Thomas Durand announced that Georg von Krogh was one of three newly selected Fellows at the EURAM Awards Ceremony on 6 December 2020, noting that "EURAM is very honoured to have him as a member of the Academy’s College of Fellows”.
Georg von Krogh was named a EURAM Fellow in recognition of the contributions he has made to the field of management studies with his pioneering research on organisational knowledge creation, digital innovation, open source software and online communities, and in appreciation of his long-term engagement at EURAM, initially as a board member and currently as a member of the Scientific Committee.
About Professor Georg von Krogh
Georg von Krogh was born in Oslo, Norway. He holds the Chair of Strategic Management and Innovation in the Department Management, Technology, and Economics (D-MTEC) at ETH Zurich. He specialises in competitive strategy, technological innovation, and knowledge management, and has conducted research on several industries, including financial services, media, computer software and hardware, life sciences, and consumer goods. He is the Chair of the ETH Global Advisory Board, which advises the President of ETH Zurich on international strategy. He also serves on the ETH Strategy Commission.
