Duty to inform
Are you pregnant? Let your supervisor know in good time and no later than your fourth month of pregnancy. This is so your health as a mother-to-be and the health of your baby can be taken into consideration and your maternity leave and the period afterwards can be planned in detail. The Download information sheet on parenthood (PDF, 161 KB) and the Download discussion guidelines (PDF, 175 KB) will help to guide you through the planning stage.
Your HR Partner will be happy to answer any further questions.
An assessment of the health risks in your workplace should take place as soon as you are aware that you are pregnant, so please contact SSHE promptly if needed. You can find more information in the section Maternity protection.
