Presentation

- Oral presentations can be conducted online via video conference (Zoom).
- Candidates may prepare various things (e.g. slides, posters) and show them during the presentation via screen sharing.
- A question-answer or discussion session at the end of the presentation clarifies open points or explores the topic further.
- The task must be formulated clearly and precise, and previously defined criteria must be applied.
- Students must be able to consult with lecturers at any time.
Conditions
- An observer must always be present (connected).
- The observe fulfils the disciplinary requirements set out in Download Art. 18, Para. 2 or 4 of the ETH Zurich Ordinance on Performance Assessments; and assumes the tasks set out in Download Art. 18, Para. 3 of the ETH Zurich Ordinance on Performance Assessments (assistance with proper conducting of the examination, and logging of the proceedings).
- The video connection (image and audio) must be guaranteed during the entire examination. In particular, the candidate must be recognisable in the image throughout.
- Recording of the video conference is only permitted if the respective candidate is informed in advance of the intended use and data scope of the recording and explicitly agrees that the recording may be made.

- Presentations can be conducted in groups and with peer feedback (see Didactic suggestions and tips). Students can be assigned to groups either manually or with the help of external page Group Choice activity in Moodle. The external page Workshop activity supports the procedure of assignments with peer feedback.
- Video recording: Zoom, Opencast Studio and other software (Powerpoint, Camtasia etc.) can be used to record videos (see also Do-it-yourself recording).
