No personal data on the chip

The data on the RFID chip merely serve to identify the ETH card.

Currently only the card numbers are stored on the chip together with some technical data. The data on the card are not personal and there are no plans to store personal data on the chip.

Encrypted data transfer only in close-up range (for validation)

In addition, the digital information is protected by a 'Legic CTC-Chips' which transfers the data in encrypted form. This is a so-called close-field chip, reading is only possible within a range of approximately 5-10 cm.
