ZAZ

ETH Zurich uses the ZAZ account to process shipments of goods from abroad that are imported across the Swiss border. This centralised billing procedure with Swiss customs (BAZG) serves to simplify the billing of import fees incurred and is processed directly via this account.

The ZAZ account enables efficient management of import processes, including temporary exports and imports, and offers advantages such as the avoidance of advance payments and presentation commissions.

In addition, ETHZ is granted a payment period of 60 days, whereby the digital and legally compliant archiving of customs and VAT documents is also ensured.
