Media events
Journalists are mainly interested in stories – not so much in events. Events for journalists therefore need to be well-planned and used in a targeted manner. If you want to see a good turnout at your event, you need to focus on providing interesting content that adds value to the press release text and you must organise the event in line with journalists’ needs. An informal media lunch can be more effective than a classic press conference; a guided tour through the laboratory can provide more in-depth insight than a lecture.
