Preliminary remarks
- When (re)designing your performance assessment, please note the following information:
- As far as possible, try to retain the familiar, reliable structures:
- If you do not have a Moodle course yet, you can open a new one for your course in eDoz (How-to video).
- Communication with students should take place via eDoz or Moodle.
Students can communicate with each other via email, the Moodle activities external page Chat and external page Forum or Microsoft Teams.
Collaborative editing of content (e.g. scripts) is possible via Polybook.
- Use technical aids and programs that both you and the students are familiar with and that are accessible to everyone.
- Make sure that all candidates have access to all of the technical aids required to take the examination (i.e. computer, internet, webcam, printer, Zoom, PowerPoint etc.).
- Carry out a dry run to ensure that the scenario you have chosen works perfectly from a technical and organizational point of view, and that the students are familiar with the system.
- Consider in advance if collaborative assessment (group work) or peer feedback could be an option. This can both keep the effort required for corrections to a minimum and improve the learning experience (see Didactic suggestions and tips). Moodle offers various technical aids to help you with this (see Homework/Presentation).
- Students can be assigned to groups either manually or using the Moodle activity external page Group Choice.
- In Moodle, the entire process for assignments with peer feedback is supported by the external page Workshop activity.
- Further information can be found on the page Didactic suggestions and tips.
