Contacts for Information Security
The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of ETH Zurich is responsible for:
- coordinating information security across ETH as a whole
- consulting of information owners and information security officers of the departments and the units of the central organisation
- is head of the Cyber and Information Security (CISEC) section at central IT services
The CISO consults on legal requirements with respect to information security as well as the availability, confidentiality and integrity of information, processes, applications and IT components.
The CISO's duties includes also implementing the Directive on Information Security at ETH Zurich.
The CISO reports to the Secretary General of ETH Zurich on matters related to governance, regulations, exemptions, and audits.

The Information Security Officers (ISOs) are the contact for information security at a department, research or administrative unit of ETH Zurich.
Unless otherwise noted, the IT Service Lead (ISL) within the departments and other academic divisions fulfills the ISO function.
ISO responsibilities include inventorying information requiring a high level of protection, being the first point of contact for advice, reporting, and participating in ISO working groups.
