Basic design principles
- The ETH logo appears on each item.

- You can complement the design with graphic elements.
Please note: Items with ETH branding are for personal use only. The rights for commercial use are held by the ETH-Store.

Logo placement on merchandise
You are required to place the ETH logo on merchandise. Make use of the design possibilities and follow the design guidelines for the ETH logo. If you have any questions regarding logo placement, please contact the Corporate Design team.
Writing on work clothes
The ETH logo can be placed on work clothes with an optional byline. The distance between the byline and the logo = the height of one acronym, measured from the top of the ETH logo.
Additional logos
Logos of organisational units or partners may not be placed next to the ETH logo (unless it’s the logo of a partner university). Please refer to the section “Combination with other logos”.
Our colours are black and white, plus the seven ETH colours
In addition to the main colours of black and white, you may use the seven ETH colours. Please do not use any lighter or darker colour variations.
You can complement the design with graphic elements
ETH acronym
The ETH acronym never stands alone. It is always placed together with the ETH logo. The logo can be added in the form of a tag, for instance.
Key visual
The key visual can be used as a stylish pattern on textiles.
Stamp and dome visuals
The stamp visual and the dome visual (stylised dome of the Main Building) can complement the ETH logo. These visuals are always significantly larger than the logo. They are available at the ETH Store.
Combination with other logos
The ETH logo may not be combined with other logos. However, it is possible to use other logos as graphic elements. They need to be distinct from the ETH logo both in terms of size and placement.
