Validity period & validation
As a rule the following validity periods of the card apply, depending on the professional role:
Validation
The validation at a validation terminal is
- essential, if the validity date has expired.
- possible, if the alterable data printed on the white stripe should be updated.
The validation must take place basically in person either at the ETH Zentrum or on the Hönggerberg
ETH members located outside the main ETH sites
After enrolment for the next semester, students will receive by post a set of matriculation confirmations, one of which can be used as substitute for validation.
In special cases, if you need a validated card, but you cannot validate it yourself, please contact your card issuing office (see the sender on the covering letter with which the card was sent).
