Procedure
The departmental schedule coordinations are responsible for the registration of the lecturers and examiners listed in the course catalogue and for updating and correcting the details published (number of teaching hours, type of course, etc).
Teaching assignments for the previous semester are automatically included in the new semester programme. Teaching assignments for new lecturers, however, are added to the course catalogue each semester.
The departments then apply to the Rector for the approval of the teaching assignments.
The Room and Course Scheduling Office processes the teaching assignments on behalf of the Rector. At the beginning of each semester, registered lecturers receive written confirmation of their teaching assignments for the semester in question. The confirmation outlines:
- type of course
- number of semester hours
- pensum
- type of employment
- remuneration (for external lecturers)
Following receipt of this confirmation, any changes must be reported directly to the Room and Course Scheduling Office. Lecturers are notified in writing of the amendments made.
Deadlines
Deadlines for handing in the application for new teaching assignments and notifying lecturers are harmonised with the deadlines for course scheduling.
