AEM 2024 Recap & Outlook 2025
Touch UI interface for AEM
Adobe deprecated the classic AEM interface, which we are all familiar with, and is no longer supported. As a result, all templates, components, and system functionality have been migrated to the new UI. The full Touch UI interface was introduced and made available to all authors at the end of summer 2024.
New wide Homepage design
The new wide homepage template was released in the system. All new websites in 2024 were issued with this template, and many existing websites already transitioned to it. In line with the move to Touch UI, we recommend all websites to protected page switch to the new homepage before the shutdown of the classic UI, since all deprecated templates will become read only and no longer editable in the Touch UI. (Information about the switch of universal content pages to the protected page standard wide content page can also be found in the manual.)
FR and IT auto translation of the main site
A large project to implement an automatic DeepL translation of the main site into French and Italian versions was started and completed.
