#moveETH: exercise your way out of the corona rut
Sports and physical activity are important for your well-being during this challenging period. ETH Zurich is launching #moveETH to encourage students and staff to be active and to motivate each other on social media.
Not only are we in the midst of the corona crisis, but the days are short and the weather dismal. We spend much of our time working from home and only see our colleagues on screen. No wonder that this situation is impacting many people's mood and well-being.
But we can take action: physical activity and sports are our best weapons in the fight against the corona rut. They tap into our energy reserves, clear our heads and keep our bodies fit. ETH Zurich has launched the #moveETH hashtag to promote sports and exercise and to strengthen the feeling of community at the university. Together we can beat the corona rut with physical activity and exercise.
Make a move with #moveETH
You can motivate your classmates or colleagues by showing them that you're also staying active during the crisis. Whether it's climbing stairs, doing yoga or lifting weights, you can share a photo or video of yourself on Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #moveETH. Another option is creating an Instagram story, tagging @ethzurich and using the #moveETH hashtag.
This project is supported by the Zurich Academic Sports Association (ASVZ). Other Swiss universities are using their own hashtags to encourage their community members to stay fit during the crisis, with #movetogether4better serving as the overarching hashtag for several universities’ pro-exercise initiatives.
The more participants, the better: we encourage you to spread the word to your colleagues about the #moveETH initiative so that they too can join in. The "moves" will be counted and incorporated into the #moveETH graphic to show that together, we can make it through this difficult time.
