Last year, ETH Zurich strengthened its commitment to more animal-friendly research methods, reducing the number of animal experiments by 7.6 percent. It is committed to the principle of minimising the burden on animals in research. However, ETH is fundamentally opposed to a complete ban on animal experiments.

SRF live from Hönggerberg: What can AI really do?

ETH Zurich honours the inventor of the Rubik's cube

Next Friday, ETH celebrates two birthdays: the 50th of the famous Rubik's cube and the 80th of its inventor Ernő Rubik. A conference is dedicated to the legacy of the Rubik's cube for architecture, mathematics and Computer Science and to discussing new educational games for artificial intelligence
“2024 SolarPACES Lifetime Achievement Award” for Aldo Steinfeld
Honours and prizes
Aldo Steinfeld, Professor for Renewable Energy Carriers in the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering at ETH Zurich, received the Lifetime Achievement Award at this year's SolarPACES conference in Rome together with Manuel Romero from the IMDEA Energy Institute in Madrid.
