Portraits and videos
How does a student with ADHD experience a lecture? What strategies help her to concentrate on the relevant study content? What does she find difficult and what does she find particularly easy?
What about other types of neurodiversity, such as dyslexia and dyscalculia, or autism? Four new student portraits illustrate everyday student life, the challenges for and the special abilities of neurodivergent people. They are based on real, semi-structured interviews with students with invisible disabilities.
We have already is available to answer any further questions.
"Accessibility is important to us. Your ETH Library"
A clear commitment from the ETH Zurich library, which has so much more to offer than books and articles: Numerous exhibitions at ETH Zurich - from Thomas Mann or Max Frisch to the exploration of the heavens and the topic of biodiversity - are open to all interested persons. A new video with sign language translation presents the wide range on offer.
By the way: A translation into sign language can also be ordered for many of the public tours. And assistive technologies are available in lecture theatres and seminar rooms for people with hearing impairments. A website (in German only) provides information about the programme and the equipped rooms.
Barrier-Free at ETH Zurich
ETH Zurich is committed to accessibility: over the course of the next few years, people with disabilities and those with special needs – whether students, lecturers, researchers, staff or visitors – are to benefit from greatly improved access to ETH buildings and services.
The proposed measures will be implemented in 14 sub-projects under three categories: “Construction, Building Usage and Architecture”, “Organisation and Culture” and “Technology, Communication and Teaching”.
For more information on the programme and the 14 sub-projects, visit the programme website and the new exhibition on the topic of “barrier-free” in the OCT building.
