Simplified parking ordinance adopted

The revision aimed to adequately reflect the changed circumstances of recent years and shorten the exisiting parking ordinance from 2016 to make it easier to understand. In addition, the new parking ordinance creates the conditions for parking permits to be obtained more easily in future.

The simplification of the parking price model was approved by the Executive Board on 9 November 2023 and then successfully implemented. On 12 September 2024, the school management also approved the subsequent proposal for a simplified parking ordinance.

The most important changes

  • The use of parking spaces at ETH Zurich requires a parking permit and is subject to charges.
  • The new parking prices and authorisation categories (in accordance with the SL resolution of 9.11.23) are now shown in the Parking Ordinance.
  • The waiver of parking fees via service parking cards, guest cards or in the case of business necessity has been discontinued - instead, there is the option of reimbursement via expenses or cost centre.
  • Internal prices apply as before to all ETH members and ETH-related units according to the ETH Zurich organisation database, but no longer to partner organisations.
  • The revised Parking Ordinance comes into force on 01.01.2025
