Group Safety Representatives
As a professor, you are responsible for ensuring that the health of your staff and students is protected and that accidents are prevented within ETH Zurich. You are obliged to designate safety officers and to inform your staff/students of the essential points on safety and intervention should an event occur.

Professors are responsible for implementing the required safety provisions. You may entrust this task to one person from your own group.
This group safety representative (GSR) can, for example, take over training sessions for new group members and act as a contact person for the SSHE Department in order to take some of the workload off the superior.
