Updated catering offer launched at the start of the semester

Do you remember? On Wednesday, March 18, 2020, the very last restaurant door at ETH was closed. This makes us, the members and guests of ETH, as well as our business partners, all the happier to be able to look positively into the future once again. The restaurant operators are very pleased to be able to welcome and serve their guests again in an almost familiar manner.

It looks as if the pandemic will not be over for the catering companies at ETH for quite some time. The losses incurred over the last two years will be on the books for a long time, despite the fact that an end to the pandemic is in sight. The frequent and rapid reorganisation of their businesses, such as being forced to put staff on reduced hours or even make painful redundancies, is going to stick with them for a long time to come. It was also not always easy to experience the daily rollercoaster of emotions between guests who felt under threat and expressed resentment and those who showed great appreciation.

The most important thing now is to return to normality as quickly as possible. The restaurant operators are therefore hoping that most ETH members are looking forward to being back at ETH in person again and therefore also to being able to visit the catering establishments once more. A certain scepticism still prevails among the management; nevertheless, they hope that they will not have to close down again as a result of insufficient visitor numbers.

Reopened businesses

ETH members can now eat here again - in addition to the restaurants that are already open:

Hönggerberg

As of Monday, February 21, in addition to the restaurants already open, the "Bellavista" and "coop to go" establishments at the Hönggerberg are welcoming guests once again, while the street food stands are also returning. All catering establishments are open for take-aways.

Zentrum

The popular "Dozentenfoyer", "bQm" and the "Tannenbar" establishments at the Zentrum as well as the "Zwei Grad Bistro" in the CHN building have reopened their doors just in time for the start of the semester.

Catering

It is now also possible to have meetings in a relaxed atmosphere, e.g. during an aperitif or a banquet. You can find out more here: Catering | ETH Zürich

You can always find an overview of all restaurants that are currently open on the Gastro Website.
