Check the group atmosphere – identify strengths, recognise issues

In a nutshell

Four questions for a regular working atmosphere check within the group in terms of the foundation’s strength, shared responsibility, and early recognition of issues and dynamics that need attention.

Recommendation

Method

The person in charge asks the respective question. It is advisable to collect the answers on moderation cards and hang them up for all to see (the person in charge can of course also take part). This makes it easier to capture the results and document the development if this method is used regularly.

  1. The foundation of the collaboration
    • What is going well?
  2. Issues and dynamics that emerge
    • What needs attention?
  3. Activate the shared responsibility of all
    • What can each team / group member, including the leader, contribute to improve the atmosphere?
  4. Agree on binding actions
    • What will everyone do by when? When will we talk about this again?
